Fashion Week: Tracy Reese

Whenever I’m on Sunset Blvd I always run into Tracy Reese. Okay not her, but her store. Reese is another designer who epitomizes feminine chic. Born in Detroit, Reese was only 23 years old when she designed two collections that were sold in Barney’s, Ann Taylor, and Bergdorf Goodman. However, in 1989 her business folded and she closed up shop, but soon landed a job at Perry Ellis through a former classmate, Marc Jacobs who taught her a few things about design. A few years later in 1996, she launched her own line once again with great success.
